SACU

An acronym that stands for Stabilization and Crisis Unit. SACU is a 24-hour crisis residential program operated under the guidance of the Oregon Office of Developmental Disability Services (ODDS). This program serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), often with co-occurring mental health issues, whose support needs exceed the supports offered or provided by community-based residential programs. SACU provides supports focused on stabilization and transition, with the goal of reintegrating into community-based settings.
