Back-up Plan

Within the Oregon ISP, a back-up plan is a contingency plan which addresses the safety and support needs of the person if their primary support is not available. In short, a back-up plan tells supporters what to do when a person’s primary care providers are unavailable. The back-up plan could include family, friends, another provider, and others, depending on the person’s situation and who is in their life.
